Everything that has happened is a burden we carry, like Sisyphus, until the end of our lives—a weight impossible to shed. I agree with Camus: the absurdity of life is so immense and significant that we must embrace it and desire it. Adopting the absurd is healing; letting go of faith is healthy; maintaining the balance of light and shadow is right; and relinquishing all hope of escape is the strength of the warrior who faces the shadows lurking behind the mirror’s reflections.
My weapons against the anguishes bestowed upon me at birth are the continuous flow of my ideas and the act of writing them. By documenting my fears and desires, I perpetuate myself; I do not die.
